Christmas Fayre 2017

All wrapped up for Christmas in Bolsterstone Village
Bolsterstone Community Group Traditional Christmas Craft Fayre
Saturday 18th Nov 2017 from 10am to 3pm

Why not join us for the start of the village’s annual Christmas festivities by coming up to Bolsterstone for our traditional Christmas Craft Fayre on Saturday 18th November
between 10.00am and 3pm?
Over the last few weeks lots of local talented “crafters” have been busy creating unique, handmade goods ready for the fayre. Their talents are amazing and their unusual and traditional items will be on sale at inexpensive prices. The variety of stalls in the village hall promises to make this year’s fayre one that is too good to miss. A wonderful range of new and old favourite craft stalls will be there for those of you looking for something ‘special’ for friends and family or just an unusual little stocking filler. Popular favourites will be on display like home made cakes and buns, jams, chutneys, jewellery, bags, gift boxes, toys, children’s puppets, cards and glassware together with bath bombs, pottery, wooden novelties, hand made sweets, Christmas decorations and wreaths, decorative pots, stone ornaments for the garden and more. Lots of volunteers are all set to help with the raffle and the refreshments so that cakes, mince pies, tea, coffee, mulled wine and the famous Buffalo burgers will be served throughout the day.
Teachers from seven local schools are preparing children to come and sing or play music. The children will be performing in the Church from 10.00am through to 12.15pm and members of the local Art Society are arranging their display. What better start to the Christmas season than to hear our local children sing and play and see the work of local artists in the old Church of St Mary’s in Bolsterstone?
Santa has agreed to fit us in to his busy schedule; he will arrive in the morning and be able to stay all day to meet the children and give them the opportunity to tell him what they’d like for Christmas. An array of fantastic prizes for the raffle have been kindly donated by local businesses. All proceeds from Bolsterstone’s Christmas Fayre go to charity or towards the maintenance of village public spaces.
It’s a real traditional village community event and we will be delighted to see you – whether you are from the local area or beyond. Do try to come along, whether you are by yourself or with your family and friends, you will receive a warm welcome. We’re sure that you will enjoy yourself as you prepare for the festive season on this special Christmas Fayre day.
